Turkey’s Pro-AKP Media appeared not happy with Macron election

Emmanuel Macron surpassed all of main-stream political parties in France and is elected as the youngest president of the country.

Macron, founded “En Marche” which is representing centrist politics, started his presidential campaign as an independent candidate in April 2016.  Macron drew attention with his youthfulness, ambition and public support. He smashed all of main-stream political parties in France and is elected as the youngest president of the country.

Macron, former invesment banker, was economy advisor for former France President Francois Hollande and then he became minister of economy in 2014.

His opinions are qualifed as ‘copy-paste Tony Blair’ by French leftist and they underestimate him.

In France elections, main determiner was the fear of other candidate, Le Pen, who known as racist and islamophobic. Le Pen’s extremist opinions were enough to consolidate French voters around Macron and Le Pen got a heavy defeat.

While France election results are welcomed generally all around the world, for Turkey it looks like it’s not welcomed by Turkish government media as we see the reactions of AKP government supporter journalists. And it appears that one particular tweet that Mr. Macron sent after the referendum results in Turkey played an important role for this anti-Macron sentiment in which Macron was saying: “Turkey slides to authoritativeness. If I get elected, I’ll do my best to help Turkish democrats who continue to fight.”

AKP supporter journalists, such as Haşmet Babaoğlu, Cemil Barlas and Hilal Kaplan – are using some terms about Macron like “baby of globalists” to show their irritation. However they didn’t say much about right wing and islamophobic Le Pen. Apart from these names, many other AKP supporters also reacted to Macron with their tweets negatively.

AKP-fan media still supports Trump, who publicly said his anti-Islam opinions before and after USA elections, and his first action was developing policies for blocking Muslims to enter the country. Afterwards, Turkish government’s funding later-fired Secury Advisor Flynn to make lobbying for them came to light and he was also known with his islamophobic views.
