CHP and HDP deputies left constitutional commission, citing “Referendum result is not legitimate”

Members of the CHP and HDP left commission that convened to determine the seven members of the Judges Prosecutor’s Council (HSK) in the Parliament.

In order to determine the members, 21 of the 83 candidates who applied to the Parliament in the Justice and Constitution Joint Commission will be selected and seven members of the HSK will be determined.

However, members of the commission from CHP and HDP said they would not vote to determine the HSK members in today’s commission, stating that the results of the ‘presidency from a political party’ referendum is not legitimate.

Those deputies who did not attend the meeting left the commission hall.
