Kurdish Education Promise from Iranian President

Hassan Ruhani who is running again for Presidential elections , visited Iran’s East Kurdistan Urmiye city on Sunday.

During his speeches, Ruhani promised to initiate Kurdish education in schools and universities. Ruhani also mentioned the works for saving Urmiye Lake and stated that government planned 2 thousand billion toman.

Ruhani also mentioned that during his government, 750 thousan new jobs were created. Some Kurdish people attended to the meeting with their traditional clothes and requested new job and solution to smuggling problem. Moreover they asked him to select people also from different ethnic groups and Sunni people. Iranian President promised to find solution to smuggling.

According to Tehran policy, management of Urmiye region and specially Urmiye city is controlled by Azeri people who are mostly Shiite.
