Charges of Espionage

German government is accusing the DITIB imams with espionage on behalf of a foreign country for the reason that they were gathering information about FETO members.

On June 18th, the attorney-general in Germany had started an investigation about some DITIB imams based on the German Penal Code, item 99, due to their allegedly ‘informative’ activities. Homes of the accused imams were raided on February 15th.

Turkey is strongly objecting the spying allegation of the German jurisdiction.
