Cumhuriyet’s Accountant Is Arrested Accused of Having Terror Ties

Emre İper, arrested on the allegation by Anti-smuggling and organized crime Department (KOM)’s three lines of report of being a ByLock application user, although Iper requested an expert opinion on the allegation that he was a user of ByLock. Yavuz Yakışkan, Cumhuriyet’s transportation officer, was released but his travel to outside of Turkey is banned.

Judge Ömer Harun Özbek, in his decision, referred to the 3-line KOM Department’s  information note, claiming that İper was a ByLock user. Judge Özbek cited Iper’s twitter posts and  suggested that Iper is under a strong criminal suspicion. Judge, on the  suspicion of escaping and the because of the evidence had not yet been collected  decided to arrest İper.
