Arrested when he went to the ballot box with a t-shirt ‘Kurdistan’ written on it

According to Hurriyet’s Bursa correspondent Yavuz Yılmaz, Hakan T., 30 years old, wearing a t-shirt with the word on it “Kurdistan” in İnegöl district of the northwestern city of Bursa, was arrested on the grounds that he made propaganda for a terrorist organization.

In the referendum held on Sunday, Hakan T. went to the school to cast his vote in Huzur Neighbourhood with a “Kurdistan” t-shirt. Hakan T. was taken into custody by Anti-Terrorism teams with the reason that he disseminated propaganda for a terrorist organization. Following his statements in the police station Hakan T. was referred to the court on charges of making propaganda for a terrorist organization and was arrested and sent to prison by the court.

An investigation into the incident has begun.
