Turkish State News Agency Informs 17 US Based Individuals accused of terror ties, inc Schumer, Brennan, Bharara

A group of Turkish lawyers, according to the state run Turkish new agency Anadolu Ajansi (AA), filed legal papers accusing 17 US based American and Turkish nationals of supporting the ‘Fethullah Terrorist Organization’ (FETO).

New York Senator Charles (Chuck) E. Schumer, former U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York Preet Bharara, former CIA Deputy Director David Cohen, former Pentagon official Michael Rubin, former CIA figure Graham E. Fuller, Former US official and Woodrow Wilson Scholar Henri Barkey are among the names who are accused of aiding the ‘terror organization’ in an attempt to overthrow the government of the Republic of Turkey.

Charles Ellis “Chuck” Schummer, the New York Senator of the Democratic Party is accused of accepting donations to the amount of millions of dollars to advocate for the terror group in the US politics. David Cohen, the former Deputy of CIA is accused of being at the forefront of the financial operation initiated against publicly owned Halkbank. Graham Fuller is included in the names for vouching for Fethullah Gulen for his green card application. Former CIA director John Brennan is also among 17 people though his last name is apparently misspelled as ‘Brenan’.

Another well-known name listed in the petition is the former prosecutor, Preet Bharara. Turkish officials have been claiming that Mr. Bharara had ties to ‘FETO’ after the arrest of Turkish Iranian gold smuggler Reza Zarrab.

The petition asked the court to sign an arrest warrant for the listed individuals for “attempting to overthrow the government of the Republic of Turkey or obstructing it from conducting its duties by force”.

Among names also US based Turkish nationals who are known to be heading Gulen tied organizations.

Turkish State run new agency AA broke the news with ‘last minute’ breaking news banner on the social media, putting Senator Schummer, Fmr US Attorney Bharara, AEI Scholar Rubin and Fuller on the banner.

Mr: Erdogan, speaking on live interview on Thursday talked about Halbank’s CEO arrest for the first time and stated it is a ”saddening” development, while in the same interview praising President Trump’s sacking of Mr. Bharara. Erdogan also said he expects Bhrara’s staff to be removed as well.
