Sinan Oğan, a rebel MHP MP who has been kicked out of the party, has announced that the referendum will be rejected with a no vote that is between 53% to 57%.
Sinan Oğan, accompanied by the daughter of the founder of the MHP, Çağrı Türkeş, was at the funeral of police officers who were killed by the PKK in Iğdır where he claimed that the No camp will have a big victory.
Oğan added: “The governor of Iğdır threatens our citizens to vote yes, telling them that if they don’t vote yes they will not receive any help or service from the state. Are you a governor or a member of the AKP? What have you ever given to the people of Iğdır. They’re telling government workers that they’ll banish them. Where are you gonna kick them out? To Armenia? There is only Armenia beyond Iğdır. If the result of the referendum is no, will you not let us live? They already started torturing us! Know that the people who stopped the 15th of July coup will also teach you a lesson!”
