Erdoğan Toprak, Field work planner of CHP leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, said that no conference room has given to CHP for the referendum campaign in Konya even though they reached the ministers to have one.
CHP’s İstanbul deputy Toprak, who gave an interview to Rıfat Başaran from Hürriyet, said that the government used a discretionary fund of hundreds of millions of lira for the ‘yes’ campaign.
He stated that CHP continued its ‘No’ campaign without receiving any treasury grants by saying “Since our time and facilities were limited, we had to give weight to the metropolis and we are including the cities that we need to visit according to research of our team.”
Toprak explained the situation that they did not find a conference room in Konya as follows: “We wanted to hire a conference room of Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports in Konya for Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu’s speech. Even though we reached the provincial director, governor, general manager and even the minister, neither the hall nor the answer was given. They don’t follow the same procedure for the ‘yes’ campaign but TRT did not publish our commercial film on the grounds that the star that appears at the back evokes the Turkish flag. In order to block our broadcast hours, either the president, the prime minister, or a minister’s meeting shifts specifically to that hour.”
