Opposition party finds AKP’s “Yes” banner on its building overnight, after declaring to vote “No” in the referendum.
In Turkey, the opposition Bliss Party (Saadet Partisi) found a “Yes” banner on its building hung with a crane overnight, after declaring that it would vote “No” in the referendum. The banner had the AKP logo on it and said “Wholeheartedly, Yes”.
Party members gathered in front of the building and removed the banner using the very same crane. Bliss Party Istanbul Chairman Birol Aydin said they were made aware of this by a passerby party member’s call.
Aydın, continued: “This is against gentlemanship, political rule of conduct and ethics and in itself demonstrates why we should not be voting “Yes” in the referendum.
