Having already been appointed to simultaneously act as Şırnak’s deputy governor and mayor, Kumçatı’s town mayor, and secretary general of the Special Provincial Administration, Bedirhanoğlu was finally assigned to be the Balveren Town Municipality’s government trustee, according to daily Birgün.
Last night, Şırnak Deputy Governor Turan Bedirhanoğlu was assigned to be the government trustee of the Belveren Town Municipality.
Currently acting as trustee of the Şırnak Municipal Government, Kumçatı Town Municipal Government and secretary general of the Special Provincial Administration, Bedirhanoğlu has taken on a fifth role in the city.
According to dihaber, Bedirhanoğlu had previously come to the fore after closing down women’s organizations that had been established under the Democratic Regions Party (DBP) administration and firing workers.
Government trustee in Şiirt
The Ministry of the Interior has removed Şiirt’s Baykan district’s Atabağı (Comanî) Town Municipality Co-President Muammer Canbulat from his position. A government trustee has been assigned to replace Canbulat.
As of February 2017, 75 DBP municipal co-presidents have been arrested and 65 DBP municipalities are under government trusteeship.
About Turan Bedirhanoğlu
He was born in Bitlis in 1984. In 2006, he graduated with a degree in Public Administration from Istanbul University’s Political Science Department. He completed graduate work on “Turkish and Ottoman Bureaucracy” at Yüzüncü Yıl University.
He served as deputy mayor in Ordu’s Çatalpınar and Çaybaşı districts. In 2014, he was appointed as deputy governor of Şırnak.
