Turkey deports 40 Holstein cows back to Holland amid diplomatic stand-off

Reactions to problems with Netherlands hit Holstein cows. Almost 40 cows that earlier imported from Netherlands, now, they loaded into trucks and have sent back to that country.

Members of Turkish Beef and Lamb Producers Association have sent ‘Holstein’ kind of cows back to Netherlands to protest that country.

PRODUCERS SHOWED A BIG REACTION

Bülent Tunç, President of the Association, had a meeting with producers in a abattoir in Biga province of Çanakkale and there, he told to Hurriyet newspaper that producers showed a big reaction to the tension with Netherlands.  

“WE SENT A SYMBOLIC NUMBER OF COWS”

Tunç told that 40 cows being shipped away today. “We sent a symbolic number of cows. If they don’t accept these animals, we will cut it and hand it out” he said.
