Journalist Ahmet Şık: A lot of people jailed as hostage for referendum

Journalist Ahmet Şık, who has been detained at Silivri Prison, had a meeting with his wife and in that meeting he said, he knows that lots of people “detained due to referendum”.

Ahmet Şık, was arrested on December 30, 2016 and he is being held at Silivri Prison since January 3, 2017.

He sent a message to Bianet and the content of message was this: “Lots of people who has been held in prison are being held as hostage because of referendum. Today’s prosecutors has no difference than Cemaat’s prosecutors. Even if I would be out there now, I would say the same, I say NO in every language to all kind of dictating regimes.”
