According to Turkey’s Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD)’s statement, an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.3 struck on the northwest province of Turkey, Canakkale, on Monday morning. Then, a 5.5 magnitude earthquake hit Aegean Sea and affected Turkish coast in the Monday morning.
After these earthquakes, there were lots of aftershocks in the region. 298 building affected from earthquakes. This is a frightening data for Turkey because 5.5 is not a so big magnitude and this means if a bigger earthquake hit Turkey, it will damage big.
When we prepare this news, new earthquakes hitted in Canakkale. On Wendesday, two there were two earthquakes with 4.1 and 4.4 magnitude, centered beneath Ayvacık.
