Numan Kurtulmuş, who is Deputy Prime Minister and Government Spokesman, said that public referendum on constitutional amendments would be held on 2 or 9 April 2017.
“I have not seen any risk in the proposal and also voting on all of them,” he said in a live broadcast on 24 TVs. Kurtulmuş reminded that different numbers of affirmative votes were published between 340 and 347 and he said that after this, it is not possible to change the wills of the parliamentarians.
“The vote result will be completely “YES”, I think.”
Numan Kurtulmuş predicted: “The voting process in the Assembly goes as we planned. I think that predicting percentage for public vote is not right. But I’m sure that we will get them passed.”
