AKP’s poster boy district governor detained, accused of “FETO” membership

Kadir Güntepe, the former governor of the Beytüşşebap district of the southeastern province of Şırnak, was detained on charges of using ByLock, a smart phone application that authorities believe is a communication tool between members of the Gülen movement.

Police teams reportedly conducted a search at a house belonging to Güntepe and seized some documents. Media reports said detention warrants were also issued for several others as part of the same investigation.

It is claimed that the “@pohjoh02″ the racist sharing of the Twitter account belongs to Güntepe espically during the curfew and conflict in Eastern of Turkey.

During President Erdoğan’s first speech to District Governors at the Presidential Complex in 2016, he was in there and take a photo with Erdogan and posted on twitter.

He was olsa aganist the military attempt coup, Gultepe proved his loyalty to Erdogan with many supporting tweets.

Güntepe previously came to public attention after Ankara Municipality Mayor Melih Gökçek praised him in tweets he posted on social media.

In one of his tweets, Gökçek called on everyone to  follow Güntepe on twitter to see “how great Beytüşşebap was doing.” “We are proud of you Kadir Güntepe. I call on al social media users to follow him on twitter against spams,” Gökçek tweeted.

Güntepe became a phenomenon among AKP media personas and AKP base for his fiercely pro-government rhetoric and anti-Gülenists tweets, collection close to 100K followers. After becoming a poster boy and a role model governor as an anti -”FETO” figure, his detainment for allegedly being member of FETO shocked AKP media people and AKP tweeps all day.
