Report on last 3 months of Turkish Media is devastating

Acording to the report released by Contemporary Journalists Association (Çağdaş Gazeteciler Derneği), in three months (October, November, December of 2016):

3 media members were killed

80 press members were arrested

299 press members were taken into custody, 32 of them were assaulted, subjected to violence, threatened

7 foreign journalists were deported

2622 press laborers were unemployed

5 publishing houses were attacked

157 media outlets, 9 publishing houses and companies were closed

3 press centers were raided by police

gag order imposed on 24 different events

while 20 news sites were restricted

Restrictions of some sites were imposed multiple times

624 press cards and 32 parliament cards were cancelled
