Five Turkish Soldiers arrested in relation to Kayseri attack by TAK

Five soldiers were arrested in an investigation for the public bus bombing attack which killed 14 off duty soldiers in Kayseri. Five soldiers were arrested with the following charge: “helping a terrorist organization by carrying and conveying military information”.
26 people, including the five arrested soldiers, were originally detained as part of the investigations on car bomb attack targeting a public bus carrying off-duty soldiers from the 1st Commando Brigade heading to town and killed 14 on 17 December 2016 in Kayseri. Four people were released by the public prosecutor’s office with a judicial control order, while 22 were referred to the court for arrest.

Abdurrahman Ç., Semih A., Ahmet A., Commando Corporal Bilal U., and Commando Sergeant Bedri Ö. who have allegedly reported the departure time routes of soldiers from the Brigade to members of the terrorist organization using social media were arrested with “Helping a terrorist organization, transferring information, transferring military information” charges. Interrogation of the other 17 is still in ongoing.
